through the intercession of St. Maximillian,
look down upon Your people
that they may be strengthened into piety,
obtain the remission of their sins,
be delivered from the devil and his deceits,
be filled with the Holy Spirit,

Dear Jesus, at times I need to rest in the atmosphere
of your loving kindness.
The daily duties and tasks, though quite worthy.
can be stifling and draining.
Your breath, your spirit revives and brings joy.

You cared for the sick not just to heal them,
but to guide them to a happy death.
You wanted their souls, not their bodies.
Help us to understand that we have to prepare ourselves to a happy death.
At the Transfiguration, Father, You showed
Jesus in glory, a glimpse of what His disciples
would see in His risen life.
Bless us in our humanity,
with an awareness of Your presence,
leading us to share in Your divine life
even in our daily struggle.
