One year has passed since I came back to Korea for my second term as a Columban lay missionary. Indeed, time has flown so fast. In that one year alone, many events have taken place. It is with great joy and contentment that I accepted my mission assignment at St. Kim Taegon Church located in Pongilchon, Paju City and as a part-time volunteer at Paju Exodus migrant center.

Being a stranger in a foreign land wasn’t always easy, in terms of learning and adopting not only the language and local dialect but also the culture. I was thinking about that even before I landed in Fiji.I came to Fiji to serve as a missionary, not knowing about the local lifestyle and not knowing what to expect.
The Columbans are a society of missionaries, including priests and lay people, who minister to people of various cultures as a way of witnessing to the universal love of God.
