Iftar is the evening meal with which Muslims end their daily Ramadan fast at sunset.

Ramadan is the Holy Month for Muslims. This takes place during the ninth lunar month of Ramadan. Muslims are required to abstain from food and drink from dawn till sunset. Last year this happened to be in the very hot summer days. With prayer and fasting one is reminded of a greater need that only God can fill.
